Text Diff

Highlights what changed between two blocks of text. Compare line by line or word by word.

How to use

Paste one version on the left and the other on the right, and the differences appear underneath. Green marks what was added, red with a strike-through marks what was removed.

Line-by-line suits config files and code, where the line structure carries meaning. Word-by-word is better for prose, when only a few words moved inside a sentence and a whole-line diff would hide the detail.

The number of added and removed lines is shown above the result, so you can size up the change before reading through it.

Neither text is sent to a server. You can compare a contract draft or an internal document here and it never leaves your machine.
