How to use
Enter the net amount and you get the tax and the gross total; enter the gross total and you get the net amount and the tax back out. Those are the two directions you need when writing a quote and when reconciling a receipt.
The rate is fixed at 10%, which is the VAT rate in South Korea. Rates differ from country to country, so check the rate that applies where you are before using these figures. Tax is rounded to whole units, and when working back from a gross total the tax is taken as the difference so the two parts always add up exactly.
The percentage section covers three questions: what a given percentage of a value is, how much one value changed relative to another, and what share a part is of a whole. Use the second one for something like year-on-year revenue growth.
