Split PDF

Choose a PDF and the tool shows how many pages it has. In Extract mode, type the pages you want using the same notation as a print dialog: single numbers, ranges with a hyphen, and an open range such as 8- for everything from page 8 to the end, separated by commas. The pages come out in the order you typed them, so 3, 1 puts page 3 first, which is handy for fixing a scan that came out backwards.

The Split every page mode turns each page into its own PDF. Each part is offered as a separate download named after the original file plus the page number; Download all triggers them one after another, and your browser may ask once whether to allow multiple downloads. For documents with hundreds of pages, extracting a range is usually the more practical choice.

Everything runs inside your browser using pdf-lib. The file is read into memory on your computer and never leaves it, which makes this safe for bank statements, contracts and other documents you would rather not upload to a stranger's server. There is no daily limit and no watermark; files are capped at 50 MB to stay within browser memory.

Password-protected PDFs cannot be split until the password is removed, and files that are not real PDFs are rejected. Page numbers outside the document, a zero, or a range written backwards (5-2) are reported with the offending part so you can fix it quickly.
